This Virtual Event runs about 90 minutes, and features the flute music of both Larry Baker and Nick Underhill, two Cleveland composers who have contributed multiple masterpieces to our Cleveland Composers Connection concerts of past years.  As a special treat, flutist Linda Miller gave a live performance of "Coil" for solo flute by Larry Baker!

traveling minstrels

This fantastic outreach program takes our flute music into senior living facilities and nursing homes every 6 to 8 weeks.

All GCFS members are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Bonnie Svetlik and Ann Droste are co-chairmen.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to use music to brighten the day for those who can't get "out and about"

like we can. Please join us if you can!

The gathering of Minstrels is on hold until conditions are safer.

January 2020 performance was at Breckenridge Village, feels like just yesterday!

you can now donate to the GCFS via payPal!

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.

FLUTE PEDAGOGY ROUNDTABLE

Sunday, April 11, 2021

at 2:00 PM

Virtual meeting on Zoom on the topic of

-recording yourself as a practice strategy

and

-favorite recording platforms

We will discuss how to have a healthy approach when listening to short recorded snippets of your own playing, how to give yourself constructive criticism, and how to act on that constructive criticism. This will be a fun, low pressure session covering an extremely useful and often overlooked practice tool!

The roundtable meetings focus on education, where flute teachers and non-teachers alike can share information

and ideas on how to improve our flute playing

and performance skills.

         RSVP required!

RSVP via the CONTACT US feature
